Roland Connect 2010 : จับตาดูของใหม่จาก Roland วันที่ 1 กันยายน

Roland เริ่มใช้งานเวป RolandConnect.com สำหรับการเปิดตัวสินค้าใหม่เป็นครั้งแรกในเดือนกันยายนปีที่แล้ว (2009) หลังจากนั้นก็ใช้เวปนี้ในการเปิดตัวสินค้าใหม่สำหรับงาน WNAMM’09 และ MusikMesse’10 อีกด้วย ดูเหมือน Roland จะยังคงยึดเอาวันที่ 1 กันยายน เป็นวันสำคัญในการเปิดตัว product ใหม่ เพราะในปี 2010 นี้ เวป RolandConnect.com ก็เริ่มทำการนับถอยหลังก่อนถึงวันที่ 1 กันยายน 2010 กันแล้ว ไม่รู้เหมือนกันว่าปีนี้จะมีอะไรออกมาใหม่บ้าง คงต้องรอดูกัน

Roland ทำ teaser เปิดตัวเครื่องดนตรี 10 ชิ้นในงาน MusikMesse’10

นอกเหนือไปจากการเปิดตัว product ใหม่ๆผ่านหน้าเวป RolandConnect.com ที่เรียกความสนใจได้อย่างดี อีกข้อสังเกตหนึ่งที่ทำให้รู้สึกว่า Roland ตั้งใจจะใช้ website และ service บน internet เป็นที่มั่นในการทำการตลาดก็คือคุณภาพของ video ใน Roland Channel บน Youtube

ลองมองย้อนกลับไปสัก 2-3 ปี Roland เริ่มมีการใช้ media บนหน้าเวป Rolandus.com โดยมีทั้งภาพนิ่ง, ตัวอย่างเสียง และ video ในรูปแบบของ Flash โดยถ้ามองไปที่ video นั้น มักจะมีแค่การแนะนำ product สั้นๆ และอีกบางส่วนก็จะเป็น video demo ที่ถ่ายมาจากงาน tradeshow แต่พอลองมาดูวันนี้ใน Roland Channel ของ Youtube ก็จะเห็นได้ว่ามี video ที่เกี่ยวกับ product ของ Roland ที่ทำไว้ได้อย่างน่าสนใจอยู่จำนวนมาก ลองคิดดูแบบง่ายๆ แน่นอนว่าการทำ production สำหรับ video พวกนี้มีต้นทุนอยู่พอสมควร แต่การเผยแพร่ video นั้นกลับไม่มีต้นทุนเลย ใช้บริการของ Youtube กันได้สบายๆ และยังเอื้อต่อการบอกต่อไม่ว่าจะด้วยวิธีส่ง link หรือนำเอา code ไป embed

แต่ถึงเห็นอย่างนี้ ผมก็ยังไม่คิดว่า Roland จะหันมาใช้หน้า website เป็นตัวนำทางการตลาดและถอดตัวเองออกจาก tradeshow อย่างที่ Native Instruments ทำ product จากค่าย Roland ดูแล้วยังคงต้องการ “Wow” จากงาน tradeshow เพื่อสร้าง awareness อยู่ … แต่ก็ไม่แน่ว่า ถ้ายังเห็นการนับถอยหลังจาก http://www.youtube.com/user/RolandChannel

ปล. สาเหตุที่เขียนเรื่องนี้ก็เพราะไปเห็น video MusikMesse 2010 ตัวที่ embed อยู่ข้างบนนี่แหละ เพิ่งเคยเห็น Roland ทำ teaser เพื่อเปิดตัวในงาน tradeshow อย่างนี้เป็นครั้งแรก ทำได้น่าสนใจดีซะด้วย

Roland เริ่มใช้หน้าเวป RolandConnect.com ทำการนับถอยหลังเพื่อเปิดตัวสินค้าใหม่ในงาน Tradeshow ใหญ่ๆ มาตั้งแต่งาน Summer NAMM ปีที่แล้ว ในงาน Winter NAMM ’10 ก็ยังใช้วิธีเดียวกัน ตอนนี้มาถึง MusikMesse ’10 Roland ก็ยังทำวิธีเดียวกันอยู่ โดยคราวนี้เปิดตัว product ใหม่ถึง 11 อย่างด้วยกัน

การใช้วิธีนับถอยหลังบน RolandConnect.com ถือได้ว่าประสบความสำเร็จพอสมควรในการดึงความสนใจจากบรรดาแฟนที่รอดูว่าในงาน Tradeshow แต่ละครั้ง Roland จะมีอะไรใหม่ออกมาบ้าง ซึ่งถ้าลองเทียบกันกับ Korg ที่ในงาน MusikMesse ครั้งนี้ก็มีของใหม่ออกมาหลายชิ้นเหมือนกันแต่กลับมีคนพูดถึงน้อยก่อนถึงงาน ใจผมก็อยากให้ Korg มีการโฆษณาในลักษณะนี้เหมือนกัน อย่างน้อยก็ทำให้แฟนได้มั่นใจว่ากำลังจะมีของใหม่ออกมาแน่ๆ

I like the look of Vox Tonelab ST

This is another new product announced in Musikmesse ’09. Vox Tonelab ST is a younger brother of Tonelab LE, less feature, less control but better look. I like the black/gold color. It matches the black chicken-head knob and black pedal. I think Vox should use this color scheme with Tonelab LE. It looks much better than LE’s existing color.
